I’m new to carving but not to working with wood. I’m just starting to get into spoon making as an addition to my woodturning. This chisel is very well made with a comfortable handle and we’ll forged chisel. It performed well right out the sleeve with no need to sharpen it. Compared to other chisels I have purchased this one is definitely a five star tool. It fits comfortably in my hand and can be used by hand as well as with a good wood mallet. It’s priced very reasonably compared to other chisels on the market. Final word, I discovered today that Wood Carver’s Supply is s five star act because when you call with a question they take the time to carefully answer it and offer sound suggestions.
